What's Happening in MVP Baseball School!
TRYOUTS FOR MVP Mustangs 2025-2026 Teams will be held on Sunday, May 4th. The season will run from September 2025 through the summer of 2026. There is no cost for the tryout. Please see the details below and register for the age-appropriate tryout:
In the event of rain, we will move indoors to the MVP facility.
- 9u Tryout (players who are 9 or under as of April 30th, 2026)
- 10u Tryout (players who are 10 or under as of April 30th, 2026)
- 11u Tryout (players who are 11 or under as of April 30th, 2026)
- 12u Tryout (players who are 12 or under as of April 30th, 2026)

- 14u Tryout (players who are 14 or under as of April 30th, 2026) - please note this tryout is only for players new to the MVP program. Current 13u MVP Terps players who are in good standing do not need to attend this tryout and will automatically receive an offer to play on a 14u Terps team.
- 15u/HS Tryout (players who are in 9th grade during the 2025-2026 school year) - please note this tryout is only for players new to the MVP program. Current 14u MVP Terps players who are in good standing do not need to attend this tryout and will automatically receive an offer to play on a 15u/HS Terps team.

Tryout for the 2025 Summer Dawgs High School Teams
Date: November 3, 2024
Where: Waters Field - 300 Cherry & Ctr St. Vienna, VA 22180
Time: 4:00pm to 7:00pm (check-in starts at 3:45pm)
What: The MVP Dawgs High School/College Development Program was created to assist players in continuing their development while pursuing their goal of becoming a student athlete at the collegiate level. The MVP Summer Dawgs season will start in late May / early June and will end mid to late July depending on your team's schedule. There is no fee for the tryout.
Class of 2026
Who: Any players in the class of 2026 who are not currently in the MVP program who want to be considered for a roster spot on one of our 2026 MVP Dawgs high school summer teams.

Date: July 24, 2024
Where: South Lakes High School (11400 South Lakes Dr, Reston, VA 20191)
Time: 5:00pm to 7:00pm (check-in starts at 4:45pm)
What: The MVP Dawgs High School/College Development Program was created to assist players in continuing their development while pursuing their goal of becoming a student athlete at the collegiate level. The MVP Fall Dawgs season will start in late August / early September and will end the first or second week in November depending on your team's schedule. There is no fee for the tryout.
Class of 2027
Who: Any players in the class of 2027 who are not currently in the MVP program who want to be considered for a roster spot on one of our 2027 MVP Dawgs high school fall teams.

MVP has partnered with Play In School as their player marketing platform for MVP Dawgs players in the class of ‘25, ‘26 and ‘27
The Play In School software platform makes life easy for prospects and their coaches by making the communication process more efficient than ever. Every detail of the Play In School platform was built specifically with college coaches to provide them with the information they are looking for in recruits.
This platform covers all the necessary recruiting information that a player will need, plus links to player tweets and videos. Also included in your subscription is a searchable database for college baseball programs across the country and direct access to Rich Prado the founder of Play In School. The cost for the MVP player to have access to this incredible recruiting platform is $95 per year. When Coach Pudge is discussing MVP players with college coaches this is the platform that he will use when they are looking for more information about the player.

Fun day at "Wingfest '23" with my MVP Dawgs Gold summer/fall team. Many of which have been with me for 10+ years.What a talented group of players/Coaches from the Northern Region.This group finished with a 35-8-1 record and currently has 16 players committed with more to come!!
Congtratulations to MVP Baseball School Owner, Mark "Pudge" Gjormand, for being named a 2020 Inductee to the National HS Baseball Coaches Hall of Fame!

Ehrsam who did a great job presenting the topics of Base running and Conditioning to some of the top high school coaches in the country at the National High School Baseball Coaches Association (BCA) Annual Conference in Tuscon AZ!
